Martial Arts training is for everyone. If you enjoy a brisk walk and can carry your groceries without breathing heavily, you can take martial arts lessons. If children know their right hand from their left hand and can follow instructions they are ready for karate - usually 4 or 5 years old.

All students are required to take the quick start program for $39.95. The purpose of the course is to let you try 2 classes and earn your white belt for karate practitioners. After these classes you are ready to enter the group classes at an average cost of $135 per month depending on the program you choose.

We recommend two classes per week, with a short period (5-10 mins) of daily practice.

An average length of time would be 5-6 years. The time varies depending on the personal aptitude and frequency of training. In Jiu-Jitsu the average length of time is 10 years +.

 KARATE is not magic, it takes time to develop the skills necessary for effective self-defence, but if you train regularly, you will be much more comfortable when faced with a potentially violent situation. We emphasize developing self-confidence; a person who carries themselves in a confident manner is much less likely to be attacked than someone who looks like a victim.

Class sizes vary according to the time of day and level of belt, but we maintain a low teacher student ratio through our academy with a “STUDENT ASSISTANT PROGRAM”.
